NINE people have been injured in a mass shooting outside a Philadelphia bar as cops have launched a manhunt for multiple gunmen.
The gunfire broke out in the city’s Kensington neighborhood just before 11 pm on Saturday.
First Deputy Commissioner John Stanford of the Philadelphia Police Department said at a press conference that police were looking for “multiple suspects” who jumped out of a black-colored car and opened fire on a crowd outside, before fleeing the scene.
The gunmen fired at least 40 shots, hitting people who were standing outside.
“We have some brazen individuals in this city that don’t care. They don’t care how many police officers are out here and some of them don’t care in terms of how many people are out here,” Stanford said.
Nine people were shot, including two victims who are in “extremely critical” condition.

Seven victims were in stable condition at Temple University Hospital.
Debris and dozens of evidence markers lined the road after cops swarmed the scene.
As the motive of the shooting remains unclear, Stanford said: “At this point in time, it just looks like these individuals may have spotted someone they wanted to shoot at, exited the vehicle, and began firing at the group of individuals that were there.
“We don’t have much more than that in terms of motive.”

No information about possible suspects was released as of early Sunday.
Stanford added: “We’ll try to gather video and hopefully be able to get some additional information as well as video surveillance that may be able to help us identify who was responsible for this.
“This is an area that’s always busy.”
The shooting came as the Phillies lost the World Series to the Houston Astros.
The Astros defeated the Phillies 4-1 on Saturday night at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
